Happy Hour Hot Spots: Exclusive to the Emeryville Connection
For all of you Emeryvillians looking for a deal for drinks and goodies after work, or just because you feel like it, we will be spotlighting various places in and about town that serve the best food and drinks with special deals for us special people.
Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the revamped and renamed Hilton Garden Inn has emerged from its former guise as the dated Holiday Inn, and now dazzles the senses. Bright, open, and cheery, the Hilton’s lobby beckons you, dotted with art renderings of our town.
You heard it here first – free, yes, that is what we said, free, hors d’oeuvres from 5 to 6:30 p.m. with an eclectic choice of what and when: Tuesday – Taco Bar Night; Wednesday – Ball Game Food (hot dogs, mini-burgers and nachos) and Friday – Pasta Night. Other nights of the week, you’re on your own. Why those particular nights, your roving reporter asked John and Kem, the guys behind the bar? They shrugged and answered, “We don’t know, but it sure works.”
Drinks are reasonable (why do they charge sales tax? It just messes up your tip calculations), sports are showing on two flat screen TV’s, and the staff will remember your name and choice of poison. Check it out.
