It’s Emeryville’s Oldest and Largest Community-Wide Event: The 21st Annual Emeryville Art Exhibition!
ARTIST APPLICATION DEADLINE: JUNE 8, 2007
Plans are now underway for the Twenty-first Annual Emeryville Art Exhibition to be held October 6-28, 2007. The juried show opens on Friday evening, October 5 with a gala reception.
The Annual Exhibition is open to all artists who live or work in Emeryville and last year drew over 6000 people to our city to view artwork. In addition to the many residents and self-employed artists who participate each year, past exhibiting artists have also included employees of Novartis, Pixar, LeapFrog, Bucci’s, Menu’s & Music, Royal Coffee, Emeryville Chamber of Commerce, and IKEA. Entry applications are available April 20 and must be received by the application deadline on June 8. In late July a panel of jurors selects artists and works for the October show.
Each year over one hundred volunteers keep the exhibition running smoothly. If you would like to be a part of this major community and cultural event, the Emeryville Celebration of the Arts is now soliciting artists, craftspeople, and performers, as well as recruiting resident and business volunteers for the Twenty-first Annual. Volunteers are needed for poster distribution, data entry, reception, and gallery sitting.
