Guaranteed Ride Home Program in Emeryvillle
All Emeryville employers and employees are now eligible for the Alameda County Guaranteed Ride Home Program through its new partnership with the Emeryville TMA!
The Guaranteed Ride Home Program is just that -- it gives employees a FREE, guaranteed ride home in the event of unexpected circumstances such as illness, an emergency or unscheduled overtime via taxi or rental car if the employee got to work that day using transit (BART, Emery Go Round, AC Transit, Capital Corridor), or carpooled, vanpooled, walked, rode a bike, etc.
The rental cars are provided through Enterprise, which is conveniently located in the heart of Emeryville at Emery Station.
There is absolutely no cost to either the employee or employer. There are only two limitations: you must live within 100 miles of your work site, and there is a limit of 6 vouchers per person annually.
How it works: Employers fill out a simple form; then their employees may register to use this free County-wide benefit. Employees are sent a voucher for their first use when they sign up for the program. For more information, or to enroll, visit the GRH program website at www.grh.accma.ca.gov or call 510-433-0320. This program is funded with a Transportation Funds for Clean Air grant and is operated through the Alameda County Congestion Management Agency.
