"Behind the Scenes" at Pixar Set for December
The Emeryville Community will get a taste of the life of an animation artist in this year’s Emery Ed Fund family fundraiser Behind the Scenes at Pixar Animation Studios.
Scheduled for Saturday, December 1st, this popular fundraiser gives the community an opportunity to support our local public schools and learn what it takes to make the animated features Pixar Animation Studios is known best for. Geared to families and kids of all ages, attendees will spend a day as students at Pixar University, taking classes in Animation, Art, and Acting taught by local experts. The day also includes screenings, lunch, and a self guided tour. A group of Emery Secondary School students will also attend the event as volunteers and participate in the classes. Last year’s event raised over $30,000 in support of the Emery School District.
